Get to Know Dane Jacobson

Dane's love of wood began during his schooling  in 1981 in Bonn Germany. He continued to excel at The American school of London, England with instruction Tim Watson. He Later honed his talents under the award winning European trained, master craftsman Paul Schurch, apprenticing for an intense four years.

Dane furthered his skills being the custom matercraftsman for Mark Singer a Rosco Award winning furniture designer and sculptor and owner of Giati Designs of Santa Barbara. Here he crafted most of Giati's  prototypes that are now successful furniture lines. He assisted Mark Singer with design  proportions and construction techniques. Dane still does custom pieces for Giati today.

In 1996 Dane started Dane's Design's in Santa Barbara CA. He has been featured in over a dozen galleries on the west coast and Colorado. Namely North West Galleries of Fine Woodworking, Seattle and Belleview, The Real Mother Goose Portland, Oregon. The wood Merchant of La Conner. Portierra Designs Breckinridge and San Francisco to name a few. Dane's Designs heart comes from his father and Mentor Andy Jacobson, an icon of automobile design, worldwide best selling designs to his credit for over three decades.

Dane moved to the beautiful place of Trout Lake, Washington in 2000 where he enjoys creating his art form and raising his two children Ty and KayLeigh.
